Best Solution use a range of software tools to provide our customers with support in the design and performance simulation of products or processes that involve the use of magnetism. These encompass anything from the modelling of an induction heating process, to the simulation of the start-up performance of a d.c. motor.


Vector Fields 2d and 3d Opera software includes modules "Tosca" for linear/non-linear magnetostatic and current flowproblems, and "Elektra" for low frequency steady state or transient eddy current problems. Vector Fields software has along established reputation for accuracy, and is therefore a favourite in applications where high accuracy fieldinformation is a must. These applications include MRI scanners, where field homogeneity, and the effect of local shielding is important, and evaluation of cogging torques in rotating machines, where small difference torques must be extracted from numerically large but opposing contributions.


Best Solution can support customers either by performing complete analysis tasks using Vector Fields software, or one of the other software tools available to us, or, for existing Vector Fields users, we can provide a model building and post-processing macro service, which enables our customers to cost effectively generate their own finite element models, experiment with dimensions or material properties, and extract performance information, all without further involvement from Best Solution.
