Sense Coil Transient
The transient response of a sense coil was investigated using a 2d axis-symmetric finite element model. Because of the speed of the transient, both proximity and skin effects played a significant part in determining the coil performance. Both these effects could be taken into account by modelling the individual conductors wound on a ferrite core.
