Vacuum Pump Housing

This complex casting was imported from our customers CAD system and meshed with tetrahedral elements. Internal pressure loads were applied which represented peak pressure resulting from an explosion of flammable gases. The containment of the burning gases under such conditions was an important design criterion for our customer.
