Engineering design consultants offering engineering analysis resource to the manufacturing, engineering and scientific sectors

Thermal Imaging Actuator

Our mechanical design services enabled Best Solution to design a high-performance scanning actuator for a military thermal imaging application. The actuator was capable of very rapid reciprocating motion while requiring much lower power input than conventional motor technology.
The internal geometry of the actuator was optimised using parametric finite element models, and the hardware performance of prototypes closely matched the modelling predictions.

“Best Solution can support engineers engaged in their own development programmes. We can provide advice and guidance on simulation technique, or more specific coaching on design methods for electromagnetic devices, materials, test and measurement.”
