In MRI scanners, the requirements for high field homogeneity and low leakage field are severe and conflicting, since the large mass of soft magnetic material required to provide shielding can distort the central field.

Best Solution has experience in modelling MRI magnets and the associated shielding arrangements. Usually using Vector Fields 3d Opera finite element software for its trusted accuracy, we have provided finite element modelling services to customers such as Siemens and Oxford Instruments Magnet Technology.

Best Solution also has experience of modelling other superconducting magnets, including magnetic and stress analysis, and evaluation of coil supporting structures both under steady-state, and quench transient conditions.
